Erick Straver

I am Erick Straver, a screenwriter, producer, and script consultant with more than 25 years of experience in film and television development.

Throughout my career, I have worked across feature films, television series, short films, and documentaries, collaborating with productions in the American industry, the Spanish-speaking market, and across Europe, in both English and Spanish.

My credits include the feature film Run Baby Run, where I served as co-screenwriter, co-editor, and executive producer, as well as the documentary series PLAY.

I currently have several productions in development, including the television series Ness, The Blight, and The Bell Tapes, and the feature film Last Rites.

Over the years, I have worked closely with projects at every stage of development, and one pattern appears repeatedly: many stories have potential, but very few truly work.

The difference is rarely the idea itself. More often, it lies in the construction of the material: its structure, point of view, and dramatic clarity.

That is where I focus my work.

Based in Barcelona, I work as a script doctor, story consultant, and screenplay mentor, helping writers and filmmakers identify precisely what is weakening their material and how to develop the strongest possible version of the project without losing its unique voice.
